Lindy Hop is a Swing dance style having strong influences from blues, jazz and tap. It appeared in the late 1920’s. The famous Frankie Manning said “everyone… had their style”, as there was no singular form of Lindy-Hop. It then established the first acrobatic movements considering the timing and the rhythm of the music. This became a particularity of this Swing style, it now includes characteristics actions such “Air Step”, “Swing-Out” or “Lindy Kicks” (which is a modified Charleston).
